What is Elleni Couture Thinking?

In defiance of tough economic climate, Manhattan Beach gourmet chocolate and designer shoe boutique continues to give away money to organizations such as Undershare and Dig 4 Kids.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Apr 01, 2009 -
Manhattan Beach, CA --- Elleni Couture, continues to host events where the store pledges a percentage of its profits to charitable organizations. What makes this situation unique is the current economic situation and the fact that the store has hosted fundraisers on the average of once per month.

When asked about her generosity, owner Skylar Tourigny explains that giving to the community has been part of her business model from the start.

“There are two reasons Elleni Couture has been so well-received in the community,” states Skylar. “One reason is that I realize having a grateful heart and supporting worthwhile organizations is important. The other reason is that Elleni Couture is truly unique. I have not heard of another store that sells both couture shoes and gourmet chocolate.”

On April 30, Elleni Couture will host a party and extend its normal business hours until 9:00PM and donate 15% of the day’s sales to Undershare. In addition, Elleni Couture will sell raffle tickets to benefit the charity. 100% of the raffle proceeds will go to support Undershare. Raffle prizes include fabulous Elleni Couture shoes. Elleni Couture hosted a similar, very successful fundraiser earlier this year to benefit Eric Fonoimoana’s charity Dig 4 Kids.

Elleni Couture owner and founder Skylar Tourigny heard about Undershare and immediately wanted to help. “Self-esteem is such an important part of humanity, “states Tourigny. “I found out about the great work that Undershare does to service shelters and organizations and wanted to create awareness as well as raise funds to support this noble organization.”

Undershare discovered that underwear is like gold to the homeless. The charity set out to do something about its short supply in the homeless community. Homeless shelters spend most of their funds on day-to-day maintenance and cannot afford to supply these much-needed items to its occupants.

Another fundraiser on the Elleni Couture calendar is an event created to raise funds for the Redondo Union High School Academy of Health and Fitness. The fundraiser is slated for May 7.

About Elleni Couture
Elleni Couture was created to bring women’s two weaknesses together under one roof, shoes and chocolate.  The boutique is named after Skylar’s young daughter, who at 18 months loved to walk in her mother’s high heels while eating chocolates.

Elleni Couture carries shoes from a wide range of high-end designers such as Bagdley Mischka, Emilio Pucci, Via Spiga, Bettye Muller, Beverly Feldman, BCBGirls, Charles David, Steve Madden and Jinny Kim as well as handbags and accessories. The chocoholic’s soul will be well fed also at Elleni, with the ability to select from an assortment of organic exotic and classic truffles, caramels, toffees, raw vegan chocolate brittles and raw nut mixes.
