London IP Ltd to help reduce costs in pursuing intellectual property protection.

April 1, 2009 - PRLog -- London IP Ltd, a UK intellectual property firm, has been launched in response to the global economic downturn to try to help reduce innovators' costs in pursuing patent, trade mark and design protection.

Official bodies have already tacitly acknowledged that the costs involved in pursuing intellectual property protection can be prohibitive and damaging to the economy in the long-term. The Office for Harmonisation of the Internal Market announced that it in May it will abolish the EUR850 registration fee for Community trade marks, and the UK Intellectual Property Office is considering cutting the official fees for both UK patent and trade mark applications.
