March 31, 2009 - PRLog -- One of destination marketing’s most-anticipated industry events, the simpleview CVB summit, is set to take place in Tucson, Arizona at the Westin La Paloma Resort and Spa from April 26-29th. The simpleview CVB Summit brings Conventions and Visitors Bureaus (CVBs) and Destination Marketing Organizations (DMOs) from throughout the country to Tucson for networking and professional development seminars on industry technology and trends. The keynote speaker for this year’s event will be Terry Jones, founder of Travelocity.com and Chairman of the Board of Kayak.com. The three day event is estimated to have an economic impact on Tucson of over $250,000.

“Due to the current state of the economy, this year’s simpleview CVB Summit is going to be extremely relevant and useful for our attendees,” said simpleview president Richard Reasons. “Right now CVBs and DMOs are much more concerned about budget and funding sources so we are going to focus on showing them how to maximize their dollars and produce measurable results using technology and interactive marketing strategies.”

At the simpleview CVB summit, attendees will have the option to attend seminars on a variety of topics like social and viral marketing, how to create a content development strategy, e-mail marketing and search engine optimization. In addition to the aforementioned topics, there will be specialized seminars featuring simpleview’s best-of-breed destination management software (simpleview CRM) and content management system (simpleview CMS). Last year, the CVB Summit attracted more than 175 industry professionals from 56 DMOs and 100% of attendees surveyed rated their overall experience as “Excellent” or “Good.”  The projected attendance for this year’s event is 200 people.

Two of the most anticipated events of the summit are the Terry Jones’ keynote speech titled “21st Century Marketing” and the “simpleview celebrates!” dinner. On Tuesday, April 28th at 9:00 a.m., Jones will discuss building digital relationships with customers and illustrate how leading companies have created powerful new methods of acquiring and serving customers in the online world. The “simpleview celebrates!” dinner will take place the evening of the 28th and feature band “Flock of SQLs.”
