To achieve leadership in poverty alleviation and wealth creation in rural India by providing Affordability, Access and Availability for the rural poor to a range of products and services by leveraging on local knowledge and m anpower, global science, technology and markets by establishing strong brand equity, direct relationship with the rural community and an infrastructure reaching every rural citizen in every district that MYA operates.

MYA Objective:

• To develop a core competence in Rural Supply Chain Management (RSCM) by building a consistent degree of profitability, efficient operating systems, and alliance model with various product/service providers;

• To capitalize on our core competency in RSCM to service 5 million households across India by 2010 and 60 million households by 2013;

• Dairy Business Vertical:

• To set up 2,575 Milk Collection Centres to buyback 386 million litres of milk from 257,550 dairy farmers across 5,150 villages,    testing, grading and transporting to about 322 milk chilling plants and 6 dairy processing plants to market 238 million kgs of    milk in five years.

• Healthcare Business Vertical:

• To set up 772 Healthcare Service Centres covering 23,160 villages providing quality services to 54 million patients including    OPD services to 17 million outpatients, lab tests for 3.7 million patients and access to quality medicines to 33 million    customers.

We believe that a partnership-oriented approach to alleviating poverty can provide a sustainable platform through which For-Profit & Non-Profit institutions can contribute. We will therefore partner with best-in-class companies and institutions from the public sector, private sector and NGO community to facilitate a range of income-generating products & services for the rural poor.

MYA's directors, management team & advisors have extensive experience in rural livelihood development, project development and financing which is complimented by their firm social and public commitment.

What we do

MYA is in the business of rural supply chain management. It involves the following:

• Aggregating the supplier/production base and their input requirements;
• Procuring the inputs for the supplier & production base;
• Warehousing and distribution management;
• Establishing buyback and market linkages for the produce or service;

MYA is establishing a sustainable model for financing poverty alleviation by building a comprehensive rural supply chain, to facilitate job creation and asset creation for the rural poor and to support product and service providers to access rural households. The supply chain will be built by leveraging on the franchising model.

MYA's initial focus is to roll out its supply chain management services across dairy farming & healthcare sectors. Over the next five years, MYA will work towards building a footprint across 5,000 villages, servicing 60 million rural customers and creating nearly 5,000 jobs in the process. The company will partner with product / service providers, daily wage labourers, small and marginal farmers, Self Help Groups and traders along the dairy and healthcare value chain.
