PRLog (Press Release) - Mar 31, 2009 -
Eton Institute, Dubai’s leading institute of languages introduces for the first time in Dubai, a comprehensive programme for Arabic language in response to the high demand for Intermediate and Advanced-level of study in Arabic. This further strengthens the development of material in the region for learning Arabic as it finally gets the attention it deserves.

The comprehensive programme introduced by Eton Institute and shared by Ivy League universities in the US, teaches Modern Standard Arabic used by politicians, diplomats and Royals alike, as well as the four most commonly spoken colloquial dialects – Egyptian, Iraqi, Lebanese and Gulf Arabic.
Dr. Eli Abi Rached, Managing Director of Eton Institute commented: “Resources for learning Arabic in the region are limited compared to other languages such as English. Not all programmes are created equal and significant disparities exist within them. The comprehensive programme introduced by Eton Institute uses a communicative, proficiency-oriented approach with fully integrated audio-visual media to teach Modern Standard Arabic as a living language.”
The programme is designed for Arabic learners from beginner to advanced covering over 360 contact hours of instruction in which students should achieve proficiency in reading, writing, listening and speaking. It features various aspects of Arab culture and everyday life in the language which is neither Egyptian nor Tunisian and is the standard medium of communication among educated Arabs from different parts of the world.
The programme also features conversation classes in Arabic designed for students who have reached a certain level of basic Arabic grammar and vocabulary. It enables them to draw on these skills when dealing with a given situation and expanding their vocabulary in Arabic and improve their speaking ability.
“This programme”, Dr. Rached added, “uses the most complete and cutting edge methodology for language teaching anywhere.”
Eton Institute offers Arabic and 17 other language courses at the institute on an intensive and regular basis.
