Lokola Releases Facebook™ Application Which Allows Friends To Share Their Favorite Places

PR Log (Press Release) – Apr 02, 2009 – Lokola, (http://www.lokola.cz), the location based open platform search engine startup from the Czech Republic, today released a new Facebook™ application which allows users of Facebook™ to select their favorites places anywhere in the world, give them a rating and share their views with their friends in the Facebook™ network. As friends on Facebook  have affinities and relationships developed over time, it is of value to them to know places which are recommended by their network and to share their own favorite (or not so favorite) places.

Practically, a user will install the application on its Facebook ™page (by clicking on  http://fb.lokola.cz) and then follow an easy 3 step process: Search for a specific place using the simple interface of Lokola.cz for Facebook™, rate, comment & post it.

The application allows for a wide range of recommendations for restaurants, bars, school, shops and so on. The link is then shared with their friends network who see the entry as News Feed item on their main Facebook page as:  “ John has posted a new favorite place in the category Restaurant. See it here on  http://fb.lokola.cz)“.

The main interface fo the application shows the latest entries from friends, a person's favorites as well as the top places from their friends and the top contributors (see picture).

The application is an offshoot of the location based search engine lokola.cz and is currently available in Czech only as it is focused on the Czech market.
