Writer Felicia Pride, author of THE MESSAGE: 100 LIFE LESSONS FROM HIP-HOP'S GREATEST SONGS signed copies of her book in the vendor marketplace and local celebrities, including Miss DC Teen and DC council member Yvette Alexander made appearances.
Hoping to rival the large success of the 2008 Capital Hip Hop Soul Fest, organizers for this year's festival are planning an incredible line-up which includes DC's hip hop legend Head-Roc and his band GODISHEUS, international rapper Substantial, and Baltimore's finest, The 5th L. The festival will take place in Washington DC on Saturday, July 25, 2009 in Marvin Gaye Park.
"This year's musical roster is going to be even hotter than before," says festival director, Maceo Thomas.
