CyberTech International, a leading global provider of advanced voice and data recording technologies, has announced that it has enhanced the data security capabilities of all its recording solutions. It has added Secure Delete, a new application that will enable organisations to achieve improved compliance with a wider range of security regulations and internal policies designed to protect sensitive data.
According to Paul Manyweathers, Director of Global Business Development for CyberTech International:
Secure Delete is an advanced security tool that completely removes audio files from the hard drive as soon as they are archived, making them impossible to retrieve. It completely removes all trace of data by overwriting the hard drive with carefully selected patterns based on Peter Gutmann’s paper “Secure Deletion of Data from Magnetic and Solid-State Memory”. Other overwriting methods can be used including those defined by the US Department of Defense’s National Industrial Security Program. Users can also define their own overwriting routines.
CyberTech recording solutions use a comprehensive range of enhanced security features including unique user IDs, alphanumeric passwords, domain authentication and account lockout mechanisms. The level of access to the voice recorder browser application and replay of calls is controlled by the permissions given to each individual account. To provide additional protection, all stored data on the recorder server and archive media across the network is encrypted using 256bit Rijndael AES audio encryption and standard MD5 fingerprinting. All replay browser application passwords are also stored in an encrypted format.
As well as offering significantly lower running costs than any alternative system, CyberTech recording solutions can also be rapidly deployed. This is achieved through the use of open standards and commercial-off-
