Although Rajah and the Big Blue Ball was scheduled for release on March 30th of this year, it is not going to happen, at least not yet!
"We've had a few minor production problems," said Mara Forsythe, Managing Editor. "For one thing, our author, Dr. Mosetta had a computer system crash."
Dr. Mosetta M. Penick Phillips-Cermak, PM Moon Publishers' premiere writer, is also the author of The Wishing Flower, and the award nominated, The Magic of Laven-Rock, both published by PM Moon Publishers, LLC.
According to Dr. Penick Phillips-Cermak, "It was just a small system crash compared to others that I had. It was fixed within a week. But, I still would rather wait, rather than rush the book. My editors and the publisher were wonderful about it. We'll still get our spring release, although a little later than we planned."
Rajah and the Big Blue Ball is her third release in the last 18 months.
"I first wrote Rajah and the Big Blue Ball ten years ago. I polished it by reading the story to my first and second grade students. They could quote the lines back to me. When they started to ask for the story by name, I knew that I had it right. Over the years the story has changed. It was difficult to get my vision to align with the dictates of my publisher, but we finally did it."
Rajah and the Big Blue Ball is about conquering fear.
"There is nothing scary," said Dr. Mosetta. "But Rajah has to face a new situation. He wasn't sure that he could do it."
Rajah and the Big Blue Ball is written for children 5 to 7 years old.
