Giraldo, who pledged to increase Hispanic membership in Rotary International, said Latino membership in the Orlando District has grown by approximately 20 percent.
Giraldo has also focused on opening two new Rotary Clubs in the District’s Orange County region.
Recently, he participated in the opening of the new Rotary Club of Four Corners in northwest Osceola County, which now meets every Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. Carrabba’s Italian Grille on U.S. 192.
On May 13, Giraldo will initiate a new Rotary Club in southeast Orange County that will meet at Ventura Golf Club on Curry Ford Rd. on Wednesdays.
Giraldo said Central Florida Rotary International will participate in the Hispanic Consumer Fair April 17-19 at the Orange County Convention Center.
“We plan to man a booth at the fair to raise awareness for Rotary International among the Hispanic community,” Giraldo said.
