Drivers of light trucks and RV’s are finding limited rearward visibility a safety concern when driving in reverse. In response, Cruiser Stainless Accessories has introduced the White Night Rear Lighting System to automatically illuminate a large area behind vehicles when in reverse gear.
Recognized as a manufacturer of relevant accessories for the automotive aftermarket, Cruiser Stainless Accessories (CSA) has manufactured well thought out and high quality products since 1997.
CSA identified a major safety issue for the drivers of pick up trucks, sport utility vehicles, and recreational vehicles challenged by the compromised rearward visibility of these vehicles. As the driver’s vision is obstructed, it poses the danger of their not being able to see people or objects behind the vehicle as it is being backed-up. Thereby increasing the risk of collisions, and potential bodily injury and property damage.
To reduce this risk, CSA has developed the White Night Rear Lighting System to increase rearward visibility. By automatically projecting an 80-foot spread of light directly behind and to the rear sides of the vehicle when in it is placed reverse gear, available visibility is greatly increased. The White Night is mounted at the rear of the vehicle, on the hitch receiver tube of most class 1-4 trailer hitches. It allows full function of the light while the hitch is being used to tow. An alternative version is available for vehicles without a trailer hitch. The system utilizes two very bright 55-watt halogen lamps mounted in a high impact black plastic case. The system was specifically designed to facilitate installation by the end-user, rather necessitating professional installation.
Roger Byers, President of CSA explains: “Personal experience compelled me to create the White Night. One evening, when backing my Suburban out of the garage, I ran over a tricycle that was behind me. I never saw it there. I am so thankful there wasn’t a child riding it at the time. That really frightened me, and I got to thinking “what would help others avoid this type of accident”. Having more light to see was the answer. I observed the original equipment reverse lights in the vehicle just weren’t bright enough. So I invented the White Night Rear Lighting System to dramatically increase the light available to see when backing-up at night.”
