As a rule global recessions do not have many silver linings, but for savvy US travelers it's a great time to book an authentic safari in Zambia, as many of the safari outfitters there are now offering savings of up to $985 per person. The cost of this trip is from $2,246 per person and includes internal flights between Livingstone and the Lower Zambezi, and then the Lower Zambezi and Lusaka, accommodation, meals and drinks. This is a saving of $585 per person in low season (June) and $985 per person in high season (July-October)
Family Safari Special

Free internal flights
The Zambian Horizons consortium is working together in order to stimulate international travel to Zambia. It is currently offering two free internal flights for a 10- to 13-night safari with any two of the following safari outfits; Robin Pope Safaris, Norman Carr and Bush Camp Company in the South Luangwa, and Sausage Tree, Chiawa and Chongwe River Camp in the Lower Zambezi.
