The O List facilitates communication between celebrities, their charities and its members. People will be able to connect directly with celebrities and their charities and learn of ways to become more involved. Charities will also be able to create a page that provides information on how the public can make a difference with their organization.
Members have the opportunity to win celebrity contests in which a portion of the proceeds will be donated to charity. The contests have been carefully planned out and designed so everyone around the globe has a chance to win.
Lauren Murphy is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of The O List. It was founded with the intention of creating a site for an audience who wanted to network and communicate with others while finding opportunities to become involved with various charities backed by their favorite celebrities. Murphy is partnering with Jayne Hitchcock, President of WHOA (Working to Halt Online Abuse) an organization skilled in recognizing online dangers, in hopes to educate the online community on how to use the Internet safely.. Members will be able to contact Hitchcock directly with any questions or concerns.
