AutoVision is the most important international festival dedicated to film and multimedia productions for the automotive industry and related services, and it welcomes a wide range of participants from global companies to creative firms and local institutions. This event is initiated by the Filmservice International, supported by VDA, Verband der Automobilindustrie (German Association of the Automotive Industry), and part of the International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
Since 1993 the AutoVision Festival is being held every two years in September. The awards ceremony for the 9th Grand Prix AutoVision will take place on September 17th 2009 on the first day of the world's largest motor show, the 63rd International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
For 15 years companies all around the world ranging from manufacturers and suppliers to insurance companies, advertising agencies and interest groups join us in this adventure. Aligning with the technological evolution AutoVision Festival experienced in all these years considerable transformations from 35mm Film format to the present web viral revolution (video blogs, Website, podcasts, web-films, internet advertising, interactive campaigns, mobile marketing). The big number of participants we are having at every AutoVision edition is a proof of their commitment to the development of the audio-visual in the automotive industry and a great opportunity to make known their products and ideas to an international audience. The entries can be submitted on-line at www.auto-vision.org until 11th of May in 44 sub-categories. The seven major categories cover areas such as TV & Cinema Advertising, Television Programming, Website, Interactive/
We are constantly trying to adapt to the industry and to the demands of our participants by updating the categories every year. Therefore, this year the participants have the chance to win an OttoCar award in the new category Production Art & Crafts which includes sections like Best Music, Best Animation, Graphics and Special Effects, Best Direction, Best Camera/Photography and Best Editing, and also they can submit documentaries in the subcategories TV Reports & Documentaries up to and more than 15 minutes.
