Christmas time is a time to spread happiness and cheer around and nobody knows this better than Freda Hearty and the Dance Kids from Dundalk, Co. Louth. Every Christmas they hold a ‘Danceathon’
In addition to their Danceathon, the Dance Kids also performed excerpts from ‘White Christmas’ for the residents of Dealgan Home Nursing Home, Fatima, Dundalk and St Oliver Plunketts Hospital, Dublin Road, Dundalk. The delighted residents sang along to many favourites such as ‘snow’, ‘sisters’, ‘count your blessings’, ‘white Christmas’ and many more. According to Freda Hearty “We were delighted to be able to share the wonderful talent of the kids with the community and we hope that we have managed to spread a little Christmas cheer to all the residents and staff at Dealgan Home and St Oliver Plunketts hospital. Everyone, including myself and the kids thoroughly enjoyed the experience and we hope to visit the retirement homes again very soon.”
