PRLog (Press Release) - Mar 22, 2009 -
Many recent business stories focus on the real difficulties encountered by UK’s small and fledgling businesses. There is, however, a whole raft of businesses, the next size up, who are also the unsung heroes of the British economy. Businesses employing ten or more people have been at the sharp end of the credit crunch.

With this in mind, business speaker and author, Robert Craven, has been tasked to stimulate these growing businesses, to focus on the exciting opportunities ahead. “Be remarkable in extraordinary times” is the strapline of a new seminar series, The Better Director.

The programme has been sponsored by forward-thinking companies who work with medium-sized businesses. BlackBerry, The FD Centre, Albany, Peninsula and The Directors’ Centre recognise that medium-sized businesses have specific issues and needs that must be addressed.

The events are being led by Craven who is described as “the entrepreneurship guru” by the Financial Times. The focus will be on showing delegates how they can get more sales and profits without busting the bank. “The seminars are highly interactive and show practical ways that business owners can take their business up to the next level. Research from the last recession as well as some slightly challenging thinking builds a picture of how companies can be remarkable in these extraordinary times."

The programme starts in May and there will be a total of 24 events across the UK. For further information please contact The Better Director office: 01225 851044 www.better-director.com
