Celebrate the Beauty & Success of Married Women in the Nation’s Capital!
[Washington, DC] The Mrs. District of Columbia Pageant is now accepting applications for their 2009 Pageant. The winner of Mrs. District of Columba will compete this fall against 51 other married women for the title of Mrs. America 2010. Established in 1977, this national competition is devoted to proving that America's 60 million married women are, beyond a doubt, extraordinarily beautiful, poised, articulate, and versatile. Each of the 51 Mrs. America candidates achieves the right to participate in the Mrs. America Pageant by winning her statewide competition. The winner of the coveted Mrs. America crown will travel across the country making personal appearances during her year's reign. Mrs. America will also represent our country in the Mrs. World Pageant.
“What an exciting year to live in the nation’s capital!” says Kelly Ann Clay, the Co-Director of the Mrs. District of Columbia America Pageant. “We have so many talents, educated, and successful married women in the nation’s capital and surrounding area. This is a great program to showcase to the county what the married women of DC are all about”.
Married women 18 years of age and older who live or work in the District of Columbia are eligible to enter. Women compete in interview, evening gown, and swimsuit categories. There is no talent portion to this contest. The winner will receive an all-expense paid trip to the national competition, custom competition wardrobe pieces for the national pageant, a photo shoot, and more!!
“No previous pageant experience is necessary, all you need is confidence and a great smile and we will help you do the rest!” says Kyle Ean Haggerty, Co-Director of the Mrs. District of Columbia America Pageant.
The Mrs. District of Columbia America Pageant will be held on Sunday June 21, 2009 at the Westin Hotel, 400 Courthouse Square, Alexandria, VA at 5:00 pm.
