B R SIGNS HELPING YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS TO RECOGNIZE THEIR FUTURE DREAMS
Bill Reicherter commits $250,000 to Junior Achievement South Florida
POMPANO BEACH, FL: Sunday, March 1st, 2009: Bill Reicherter, Founder & CEO of B R Signs, Inc., has pledged significant support behind the opening this summer of a new Junior Achievement location in Coconut Creek, Florida.
JA World is a partnership between the business community, educators and volunteers, all working together to inspire young people to dream big and reach their potential. JA of South Florida is bringing two new hands-on experiential programs to students in Broward and south Palm Beach Counties and will teach the key concepts of work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy to fifth and eighth graders in two miniature townscapes: JA BizTown and JA Finance Park.
Melissa Aiello, President of JA of South Florida commented, “Bill has demonstrated enormous generosity and a real desire to help foster the next generation of business innovators. Over the next five years, from financial and exterior sign donations, Bill has committed $250,000 in support to help develop our youth. But that’s not all. Bill will give a large amount of his time in helping us grow our new facility and to the JA philosophy as a whole.”
She added, “In light of today’s extremely tough economic conditions that so many of us are directly affected by, it’s so gratifying to find citizens like Bill Reicherter, whose mission is to not only help others, but to devote his resource and energy into helping our kids build a better future.”
JA has delivered on its promise of hope and opportunity to more than 50 million American youth and millions of additional young people around the world. JA has been expanding its programs and securing key resources since 1916! Today, JA impacts students through a network of 139 U.S. Area Offices, and nearly 100 International Members. JA South Florida will realize a 12 year odyssey when JA World Huizenga Center at Broward College opens in June 2009. It is anticipated that a minimum of 50,000 local area students will receive a JA education each school year from that moment onward.
An excited Bill Reicherter commented, “I believe in the free enterprise system and the American dream. Being part of JA gives me the opportunity to take that dream and foster it through the minds, creativity and future development of our children. Understanding business needs and financial aspects has always been so critical for any budding entrepreneur starting out. In today’s world, it’s never been more critical to give these kids all the skill sets and all the understanding in order to give them the best chance of success. What could be more stimulating than to serve alongside so many other leaders in furthering business education.”
