New Jersey musician Mike Burro will celebrate his 43rd birthday with a hometown performance in Columbus New Jersey. The show will take place at The Corner House Tavern, 2509 East Main street, Friday April 3rd. Burro, who was raised in the town seems pleased to be playing so close to home. "It's actually the day after my birthday, but I won't be celebrating till the day of the show". "It will really be more like a party, with good food, drink and music". "The more the merrier". "I just want to have a good time". With the
re release of his 2003 CD 'The School of Rock-n-Roll on Blueriff Records UK, 2009 looks to be a promising year. see: http://www.blueriff.webs.com/
Burro who is known for his work with the spacerock band Sloterdijk and the boogie/blues outfit One Eyed Bishops, has dropped the band names in favor of his own,
hence the recent "Mike Burro & Friends" shows in nearby Hamilton.
Burro explains, " "People from the area who know me or know my face, are far less likely to have a bell go off when they hear the name of either band. "Now I want them to put a name to the face". Certainly with FREE entry the price is right to celebrate a local blues man's birthday 'at the crossroads' of Atlantic and Main.
