Today, 1 in 150 individuals is diagnosed with autism, making it more common than pediatric cancer, diabetes, and AIDS combined.

Zac Browser is the first web browser developed specifically for children with autism, and autism spectrum disorders such as Asperger syndrome, pervasive developmental disorders (PDD), and PDD-NOS. People CD have made this browser for the children - for their enjoyment, enrichment, and freedom. Over 750 000 children touch it, use it, play it, interact with it, and experience independence. ZAC Browser will be among the handful of developments celebrated at the Symposium as "Innovations for the Empowerment of Citizens".

Each year the Symposium spotlights the top technological advances that most impact society and human development, and in 2009 the focus is on ZAC Browser as one of the most successful contributions to human development through internet technology. The Symposium will be held on March 26th & 27th at the Trade Fairs and Congress Center of Málaga, Spain. Featured speakers will include: John LeSieur, President and CEO of People CD, Inc., the developers of ZAC Browser (www.zacbrowser.com); Jack Dorsey, founder and chairman of Twitter; Barbara Navarro, Director of Institutional Relations for Google Spain; and others.

John LeSieur commented that "I am extremely pleased to have ZAC Browser's contributions recognized. I am also honored to be a part of this forum with these talented and wonderful people who have given so much to impact the world of technology."
