NOWRA to hold 18th Annual Technical Conference and Expo in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on April 6-9, 2009
The National Onsite Wastewater Recycling Association will host its 18th Annual Technical Conference and Expo to be held April 6-9, 2009 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The NOWRA's Annual Conference & Expo serves as the premier conference for the conveyance of new research, trends, regulations and practices in the onsite and decentralized industry.
The theme for this year’s conference is Onsite: The Sustainable Wastewater Opportunity. Onsite wastewater treatment has always been a "green" solution for water recycling. NOWRA is proud to promote onsite systems as cost-effective, environmentally safe and long-term alternatives for wastewater treatment. We are pleased to host a conference with a “green” theme in Milwaukee - a city that is one the nation’s leaders in its commitment to sustainable infrastructure.
Over the course of three days and fifty educational sessions, this conference delivers the most up-to-date and advanced technical information for decentralized systems and their role as environmentally sustainable solutions. Below is a sampling of some of the topics:

NOWRA will host a pre-conference workshop on Monday, April 6th focusing on Pharmaceuticals and Personal Care Products in Wastewater, Surface Water, and Groundwater. A full day’s line up of speakers will present the latest research on this issue. Concurrently on Monday is a field trip of five decentralized systems in the Milwaukee area featuring ATU’s, mounds, constructed wetland and drip distribution systems in residential, commercial and school wastewater applications.
NOWRA brings together leading researchers, engineers, manufacturers, installers, operations and maintenance practitioners and other industry professionals for networking, exchanging ideas and best practices, and learning the latest innovations in the industry.
