Remembering Michael Fundraisers for CFF will be held March 21 and April 4.
Center Alley will be the featured entertainment for the first “Remembering Michael” Campaign Benefit for a Cure for Cystic Fibrosis at Nan and Pops Place, 3485 Winchester Pike, in Martinsburg, West Virginia this Saturday, March 21, 2009 at 8:00 pm.
This will be one of two benefits for the "Remembering Michael" Campaign in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia during the coming month. A second benefit is scheduled for Saturday, April 4 from 1 to 5 pm at Citizens Fire Department, 200 Citizens Way in Charles Town, West Virginia,. featuring a BBQ and family entertainment by the bands Ozone, and 4 For Him. A raffle and silent auction is also scheduled for the April 4 event. Both events are $5.00 at the door, with the proceeds benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Great Strides Walk in Shepherdstown, WV on June 6.
This campaign is named in memory of Michael Hedrick of Martinsburg, West Virginia, who suffered from Cystic Fibrosis, and sadly passed away in June of 2008 at the age of 35 years. The campaign was established by Michael's former employer, Brett Hersh of Hersh Business Services, Ltd in Martinsburg, WV, who has established several fundraising efforts in Michael's memory, including offering a 30% donation from completed tax returns for participating in the campaign.
