Wedding Road Show - Something borrowed, something BLUECLAW

Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce partners with Lakewood BlueClaws for free 2009 base ball tickets to Bride, Groom and Wedding Party.

March 26, 2009 - PRLog -- Spring signals the start of two very important seasons in our country, wedding and baseball; what perfect way to welcome future brides and grooms to Southern Ocean County than to present Wedding Road Show attendees with vouchers for a Lakewood Blue Claws game. "Brides love this idea, states Lori Pepenella, Destination Marketing Director, "They can offer the tickets for their groom not only to go enjoy the game with the bride, but to bond with some other family members or the bridal party." The Lakewood Blue Claws are supplying vouchers for brides who register for the Wedding Road show with an offer that if they would like more tickets to call the BlueClaw ticket office and they will arrange that for them.

This partnership is a perfect example of how tourism can be tied together throughout Ocean County, The Lakewood BlueClaws is an asset to have on board with this, it introduces their fans to Long Beach Island Region's efforts and allows the BlueClaw organization to be included in a regional showcase that has attracted national attention.

The Wedding Road Show taking place throughout the Long Beach Island Region on Sunday April 19, 2009 has attracted brides locally and from across the country. This complimentary self guided tour is a series of open houses that features forty chamber members who represent venues, shops and services that are directly tied to the wedding industry. Collaborating with Barnegat Chamber of Commerce, Barnegat Township and the staff and volunteers at Tuckerton Seaport, the Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce has established three registration points for brides to register to begin their day. The Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce site, which will be headquarters for the media sponsors has asked the Barnegat Chamber and Tuckerton Seaport to hand out the BlueClaw Vouchers at their registration points upon bride's arrival, Gazebo on East Bay Avenue and Rt 9, The Tuckerton Seaport on RT9.

All registration points will all be ready to welcome brides and their entourages at 9:30 am on April 19. The brides will receive detailed maps and programs that will allow them to create their own touring schedule until 4 pm. Every registered stop the bride visits she will acquire a signature from the vendors located there, the more signatures she receives the entries she will have for the grand prizes. All entry forms must be dropped off to the chamber office by 5 pm on April 19.
