“SILVER LINING SOCIALS” NETWORKING FUNCTION TO FEATURE EDUCATIONAL WINE ETIQUETTE SEGMENT
Event will not only provide opportunities for valuable networking, but guests will also learn about the niceties of consuming wine at business-related functions.
Nashville, Tenn. – March 16, 2009 – Mahogany Event Planning Presents “Silver Lining Socials.” This wine social and networking mixer will take place on Thursday, March 19th from 6-9 p.m. at Take Arts. Take Arts is located at 3656 Trousdale Drive, Suite 112, Nashville, TN 3726. Admission for members of the Urban League Young Professionals of Middle Tennessee is $10, and admission for members of the general public is $15.
Lynet Payne, the President of Mahogany Event Planning, the organization presenting the “Silver Lining Socials” event, has resided in the Nashville area for over 15 years and has been active within public and private sectors of the Nashville Business Community. She is accustomed to coordinating high caliber events such as this one.
In addition to offering food, wine, and prizes, Payne has scheduled Toni Purvis and Cornelia Robinson, the Founding Partners of the PRemier Image Management Group, to provide a segment on wine etiquette.
Robinson says, “Wine is, more and more, becoming a staple at business-related functions. It is absolutely essential for young professionals to understand the written and unwritten rules of wine. Faux pas are absolutely avoidable. Wine etiquette extends far beyond ‘the proper way to hold a wine glass’.”
Purvis continues, “It’s very common to attend a networking function where wine is provided, but it’s rare to simultaneously learn the important rules that come along with drinking wine. ‘Silver Lining Socials’ is onto a great concept, and we’re delighted to be participating.”
“Silver Lining Socials” highlights businesses and organizations throughout Middle Tennessee. This month’s spotlight business is Take Arts. Take Arts, formerly, Take 121 Arts is Nashville’s largest art market representing over 250 local, regional, national and international artists.
The featured organization of the night is the Urban League Young Professionals of Middle Tennessee (ULYPMT). ULYPMT is an auxiliary unit of the Urban League of Middle Tennessee. The organization has over 200 members ages 21-40, who are committed to corporate, social and community activism as well as to improving Middle Tennessee’s African American and minority business climate through networking and business development. ULYPMT is celebrating five years serving Middle Tennessee.
This event, “Silver Lining Socials” will serve as an outlet for engaging networking opportunities, highlighting the works of a local business and organization, and providing very useful tips about wine etiquette.
