Media Ministry Congratulates Rev. Tullian Tchividjian, Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (March 15, 2009) – Coral Ridge Ministries offered its congratulations today to Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church on its congregational vote to receive Rev. Tullian Tchividjian as the church’s new senior minister. Hector L. Padron, Executive Vice President of Coral Ridge Ministries, which is a separate organization founded by Dr. D. James Kennedy, issued the following statement:
“We praise God for His providence in shepherding Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church through the long, sometimes tedious task of seeking a new pastor for this church led so long and so well by Dr. Kennedy. The members of the Pulpit Nominating Committee of the church are particularly to be congratulated. They took up their task with great diligence, seriousness of purpose, piety, and prayer.
“We are thankful that Rev. Tchividjian, along with his congregation at New City Presbyterian Church, is joining with Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church to further God’s purposes in South Florida. Tullian is an outstanding Christian leader. His fervent pastoral heart, vigorous intellect, engaging personality, and uncompromised commitment to fulfilling God’s purposes in his generation, just as Dr. Kennedy did in his, bode well for a long and fruitful ministry at Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church. We are excited about what God is doing to bring reformation and revival to our community and, we pray, the nation.”
