TemaHome (http://www.temahome.com)
Designed by the elite of Portuguese product designers, every single piece in the collection is exclusive in the purest sense of the word. Produced in limited quantities, all items are numbered and bear the signature of its designer. Five items compose the collection: the Handle stools by Fernando Brizio, the Tavares chair by Marco Sousa Santos, the Gem tables by Filipe Alarcão, the Furoshiki, rug and the Scatola Armonica, both designed by Miguel Vieira Baptista.
The Lisbon Collection is an expression of contemporary art representing the multiple talents of the modern Portuguese soul. To celebrate and promote this collection, Lisbon was aptly chosen as the background to depict the fusion between Fashion and Product design. Each of the 5 unique pieces were photographed at a different landmark location in Lisbon, featuring a model wearing creations designed by the prime of Portuguese Fashion.
The outcome of this reunion will be available at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile, as well as the all-new catalogues the company has devised for 2009: the Style collection and the Essence collection, which was developed by TemaHomes in-house team of designers in association with independents, offering sensible solutions for everyday living.
Another aspect worthy of mention is TemaHomes joint cooperation with Portugal Brands the exhibition which promotes Portuguese design around the world. TemaHome is confirmed as one of its participants and will also be present at the traditional design district of Zona Tortona, in the heart of the city, representing Portuguese and international Design, during the same week as the Salone Internazionale is presented.
