Denver, CO - Low Penny, a Denver based company, recently launched their new site www.lowpenny.com designed to help car buyers find the best car deals with the least amount of effort. Low Penny makes the process easier than it has ever been by having the customer fill out a detailed, yet simple profile. Low Penny’s profile allows the consumer to lay out their exact car buying situation by communicating things like price ranges, vehicle types, payment preferences, time frames, general concerns, and uncertainties. This profile is then viewed by Low Penny’s dealership partners, and only six dealerships, who believe can meet the stipulations laid out by the consumer, can contact the potential buyer. After that, the buyer then chooses the dealer who can best meet their needs.
Low Penny believes that researching for weeks and then haggling at multiple dealerships for days is over. “By filling out a simple profile, letting the profile simultaneously shop at multiple dealerships, and have dealers then compete for the business, the power shifts back into the consumer’s hands” states Co-Founder Evan Bailey.
Even with all the resources out there for consumers, car buying still ranks as one of the least favorite things to do. To make matters worse, there is a crumbling economy and a crisis in the auto industry. Because of these problems, auto makers and dealers are doing everything they can to entice customers. With all these underlining factors and enticing offers, where do consumers start? Co-Founder Roger Glas states “because of this unique situation, car buyers have extraordinary opportunities they may not know of, but trying to make sense of all these can become frustrating. We want consumers to start with us, and let the dealers come to them with all the options and opportunities that meet their needs.”
Glas and Bailey have worked in the auto industry for years, both on the dealer side, and in the auto lending sector. This site is the culmination of their knowledge, experience, and understanding of a flawed system. “Outside of buying a house, this is one of the largest purchases we make, and I believe consumers have to put too much effort into getting what they want when buying a car.” Bailey said.
