Tide Information on the GO

PR Log (Press Release) – Mar 12, 2009 – A new and innovative approach to getting your tide information directly straight to your mobile phone at the time you want it.  The application is simply called Text Tide easy to use:  text the word tide followed by a space then the location and text tide will send to 57502 you back the tidal information for the following 24hrs in both text and graph format.


Text Tides now gone from just being an idea to developing the software development, business plans and marketing strategies and under the  structure of TPM Management, Limerick, and     the assistance of Limerick Enterprise Board for a feasibility study we pushed forward and developed our software, did the market research and have tested the market place.  We went live Feb 09    and now  with over 200 customers on our database we look forward to offering our services to all the water users in the coming spring and summer months.  We are also proud to announce our partnership with Púca in Dublin,   as our mobile gateway for our software application. Another example of how small companies can work with the larger companies to get a product or service off the ground.


With the growth of international water based sports activities Championship Angling Events, Surfing and Kiting Events, the Welcome of the Volvo Ocean Race in the summer -----collectively these events portray Ireland as a dynamic and attractive country with good quality marine recreational facilities and infrastructure.  Other areas of growth we have also seen  many sea angling boats tapping into a nice market – view whales, dolphins, visit Islands are only some of the changes we have seen in society and lifestyle and tourism needs. Tidal flows are of importance in navigation, and significant errors in position will occur if they are not taken into account  The service we are offering will allow people to get up to date information at the time they need it.
