World Television is pleased to announce that it has been shortlisted in the prestigious ‘Best Direction’ category of the International Visual Communications Awards 2009. World Television’s film for leading specialty biopharmaceutical company, Shire, is one of only six nominations in this category.
Aimed at Shire employees, BRAVE offers glimpses into the lives of three patients with the type of life-altering conditions that Shire strives to help and challenges staff to be as brave them. The film forms part of a wider branding campaign designed to communicate who Shire is, what it stands for and what differentiates it as a company. As part of its targeted video strategy, World Television is also producing ongoing BRAVE stories from employees around the globe - for distribution on the Shire intranet - and patient case studies.
Executive Producer at World Television, Tim May, says: "It has been very rewarding to work so closely with the team at Shire. Thanks to their willingness to take creative risks, and to the incredible openness and generosity of the patients and their families, I believe our director Steve Judge has been able to deliver a very human, very effective film."
