RALEIGH, N.C. - Geo. Raper & Son, Inc. (GR&S, Inc.), an unlimited, unclassified contractor with specialized expertise in water utilities, has announced that Vice President Steve Raper has recently earned his LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Professional Accreditation from the Green Building Certification Institute.
According to the U.S. Green Building Council, LEED Professional Accreditation distinguishes building professionals with the knowledge and skills to successfully steward the LEED certification process. A LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) is a building industry professional who has demonstrated a thorough understanding of green building and the LEED® Green Building Rating System™, which is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction, and operation of high performance green buildings.
With over 14 years of management experience, Raper has led teams in a variety of complex projects. GR&S, Inc. is currently involved in several projects, including the 96-acre White Deer Park and Nature Center in Garner.
Raper holds a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from East Carolina University. He lives in Raleigh with his wife and three children.
