There has been a new buzz about the Treasure Hunters Roadshow and them buying antiques, collectibles, gold, silver, coins, etc. So we took the time to do some research and see what we can find out about this new growing company. If you don't know what the company does they are a group of close to a dozen different teams that travel all over the country to both large and small towns buying up old antiques from the local residents. The way it works is you bring in your items and they have an expert look over the item and they give you a value of your items that you bring. If you would like to sell the item they then purchase it and write you a check on the spot.
We interviewed a couple of some residents at a few of the different shows to get there thoughts on the whole process. They wanted to keep there names anonymous, however "JOE" had inherited a large coin collection from his father that had just recently passed, and he had no clue of what they were worth. He was excited about the Treasure Hunters Roadshow coming to town so he decided to bring his coins and find out how much he could get for them. "JOE" told us the process was very smooth and it took him about an hour to get in front of one of the experts. They went through all the coins with him and pulled out a few of the uncommon years as they were worth more than the standard 90% silver coins. After the whole process he found out his coins were worth $6304.82! He had no clue his coins were worth that much. He was a little hesitant at first because they paid with a check, in fear of a lot of deceptive practices going on lately he feared a bounced check could be possible. He told us the check did not bounce and he was now over six thousand dollars richer and got rid of some coins that were just collecting dust. "JOE" recommends the Treasure Hunters Roadshow as a way to easily sell some of your unwanted items.
We also interviewed "ASHLEY" that had a similiar experience, however she brought in some broken gold necklaces and rings that were wasting space in her jewelry box. She also said it was about an hour wait, which she said was fun because she was able to see at all the cool antiques that everyone was bringing in. She got into the room with an expert. They looked over all her scrap jewelry and she ended up walking out with a check for over $600! She said she had no desire to send her gold into those commercials you watch an tv, she said what if you have a check bounce from them, or they don't send you a check? She told us "Treasure Hunters Roadshow is right here and I can see them in person and that makes me feel much more secure."
We also talked with the Manager of a few of the teams and they have said that they spend close to a $100,000 a week and sometimes more in some of the towns. " We are here to try and stimulate this economy and help people pay there bills!" So our conclusion has come that the Treasure Hunters Roadshow is a great asset to the country!
