In this sermon he discusses Joshua Chapter 3. He discusses the first five verses from the chapter that say: 1 Joshua rose before daylight, and removed the camp: and they departed from Shittim, and came to the Jordan: he, and all the children of Israel, and they lodged there for three days. 2 After which, the heralds went through the midst of the camp, 3 And began to proclaim: When you see the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, and the priests of the race of Levi carrying it, rise up also, and follow them as they go before: 4 And let there be between you and the ark the space of two thousand cubits: that you may see it afar off, and know which way you must go: for you have not gone this way before: and take care you come not near the ark. 5 And Joshua said to the people: Be ye sanctified: for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.
Steve Flockhart says that only an average person stays in the comfort zone but somebody who longs for more will go after it to achieve it. He says we should take the challenges in our lives and follow the 'Arc of the Covenant' which is the symbol of presence, power, and provision of the almighty God. Steve Flockhart said that we should picture this arc 3000 feet ahead of us to achieve spiritual victory in our lives. He says God has saved us not to become statues that are put in exhibition; he has saved us to be soldiers so that we can make a difference to the kingdom of God.
