The New York Times reported that in 2006 alone, sales of women's clothing, accessories, and shoes in the United States reached US$18.3 billion as compared to the US$17.2 billion sales of computers and associated products. YesStyle.com founder and CEO Joshua Lau says, "From the start, YesStyle.com has been warmly welcomed and supported by its global customers. According to the latest report from iResearch.com, online shopping sales in the mainland reached a high of US$3.4 billion in 2006 and is expected to increase twenty-fold in the next four years. There are already 4.3 million online shoppers in the mainland and, as the Chinese economy continues to soar, this number is expected to exceed the 1 billion mark by the year 2010.
