(Hollywood, CA)  - Two creative home-video producers have employed state-of-the-art digital and DVD  technology to allow people to satisfy their urge for vacation travel without the cost. All it takes is your home TV.  The new three-volume DVD series, FEELS LIKE FLYING! is not only the first DVD series featuring all-aerial coverage of destinations shot from tree-top level; but it is also a low cost alternative to gassing up the car or motorhome, or booking flights to see new places.

FEELS LIKE FLYING! is a low-level aerial tour, shot by veteran pilots, of scenic America, from California to Wisconsin, and  portions of Canada and Alaska, featuring  landscapes not normally visible to the public because they are inaccessible from the ground.  Using a wing-mounted digital camera, the pilots flew at an altitude and speed designed to create a dynamic yet soothing visual experience from a whole new perspective--from about the same altitude that wartime bomber pilots used to fly to avoid enemy radar—but at a lot slower speed.

Two of the DVDs feature the musical scores of noted New Age composer John Adorney. It is all about music, scenery and mood—without narration.  Bonus materials on two of the DVDs provide interesting travel facts and information about the places shown—so you can plan your visit there someday in person.

“All those who love to travel and explore the great outdoors—these DVDs are made just for you,” explains Mark Morris, the producer and director.  “We wanted to open up the magical perspective of low-level flight to those who enjoy the outdoors but may not be able to afford taking trips in this economy, or are physically unable to travel.”

While this is not stunt flying (the emphasis is on sightseeing), there are aerial maneuvers of special interest to pilots in the first DVD.  Lets just say that when you are that low, natural objects tend to get in the way. In the real world low-level flight isn’t attempted by most pilots.  But FEELS LIKE FLYING! allows aviation enthusiasts to experience the thrill of brushing the tree tops for themselves.  And that’s the reason the DVDs appeal especially to active and retired pilots, and novices just learning to fly.

Norm Goyer, the respected editor of Plane and Pilot magazine discovered another interesting effect the DVDs offer a viewer.  “The images make you feel so much like you’re flying.  What a great stress breaker; what a soothing ride before bedtime; what a great way to relax totally in the realm of flying.”

That’s right!  They provide real stress-relief.  At least that’s what the clinics and doctor’s offices that show them in their waiting rooms think, echoing the producers’ goal of “enabling the viewer to experience flying over wide open spaces with no cares—like a bird.” Travel with no stress!  Who would have imagined it?

All three titles in the FEELS LIKE FLYING! series are one-hour in length: Volume 1 “The Low Level Tour”, Volume 2 “Tree Top Travel” and Volume 3 “The Great Outdoors”.  The website www.FeelsLikeFlying.net offers full descriptions of bonus materials and content on the DVDs, along with photos and videos.
