The goal of the My Art Gallery is to provide a venue for young creative people to establish themselves in the world of art. It is so that the efforts associated with running an art exhibition are often prohibitive for the underprivileged young artists, people with special needs and those living in remote areas. By using the internet technology we are able to electronically exhibit the works of our artists to the world. The project is run by Diatom Enterprises – a company specializing in the custom software development. Diatom is using its technical expertise to make sure the works of underprivileged artists have a chance to become known.
This project is charity oriented. From each sale 70% of the proceeding go to the artist. 50% of the Diatom profit is contributed to Latvian Chapter of RMHC (www.rhmc-latvia.lv)
For nearly 35 years, Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC) has been creating, finding and supporting programs that directly improve the health and well being of children worldwide. RMHC is making a global impact on the most pressing problems facing families today. Our approach is to think globally, but act locally by tailoring our programs to address the most pressing need of each community we serve.
