Smith joined Common Sense Solutions after 13 years as a Senior Consultant for ContrAcct Systems Corp. where he provided Chicagoland contractors Job Cost Accounting and Dispatching Software, Microsoft Computer Networks and related hardware. In his new role with Common Sense Solutions, Ken will advise general contractors, specialty contractors and service companies on a wide range of software, hardware and custom solutions.
Smith, a self-confessed technology enthusiast who marvels over the latest tech-toys, knows that every company has their own technology threshold. He said, “The key to helping a contractor get the best technology for their business is truly understanding the company as a whole – their work, their people, their environment, their goals – while remembering that not every contractor fits in the same neat box. I feel fortunate that the wide range of technologies offered by Common Sense Solutions allows me to do exactly that.”
John Chruma, Common Sense Solutions’ Vice President of Sales commented, “Ken’s knowledge, experience and insight will be invaluable to our contracting and service clients. He brings great perspective to the table, which will be instrumental in helping clients evaluate and implement the most effective technology solutions for their specific needs.”
In addition to extensive construction technology experience, Smith also possesses an Associates Degree in Computer Programming from the College of Lake County, a Bachelors degree in Business from Northeastern Illinois University, and an MBA from North Park University. He resides in Harwood Heights and works out of Common Sense Solutions’ Corporate Headquarters in Burr Ridge.
