With the support of over 1,000 people from across the building materials and construction industry, leading brick manufacturer Ibstock (www.ibstock.com)
Ibstock, together with Brickability, Taylor Maxwell and the support of other businesses in the building sector, organised and hosted two charity dinner dances last year, which were held at Wentworth Club in Surrey and Marriott Forest of Arden Resort in Warwickshire. The events attracted over 500 attendees, including Persimmion Homes, Travis Perkins, Hanson Brick, Wolesley and Weinerberger.
John Richards, Sales and Marketing Director at Ibstock, commented: “Help for Heroes provides invaluable practical support for our seriously wounded servicemen and women.
“The charity events that we organised raised a huge amount of money for this very worthy cause thanks to the generous support of the construction and building materials industry.”
Established in October 2007, Help for Heroes has become, in the words of the Prime Minister, a ‘National Institution’
The money raised by the Ibstock events will significantly contribute to an £8m swimming pool and gym complex at Headley Court, a defense medical rehabilitation centre in Surrey, which is run by Help for Heroes.
