The Best Western Hotel in Poughkeepsie, New York, has announced its conversion to the Mercury Grand brand. The Best Western located on 2170 South Road has long been a preferred venue for social events in Poughkeepsie. The property features 143 spacious guest rooms, a full service Indian American restaurant (Spices Aroma), the Harper’s Bar and Grill, as well as extensive meeting and banquet facilities. The property also offers an outdoor swimming pool, complimentary high speed internet service, and free breakfast.
According to Sandip Patel, whose company owns the property, “We have been planning this conversion for a while now. We are excited about the opportunity to upgrade to the Mercury Grand brand. We believe that this affiliation will be a great boost for our revenues. It will help us maximize our exposure within online and global distribution systems.”
Mercury Grand is a new hotel brand developed by Mercury Hotels, a hospitality company based in Woodbridge, New Jersey. Mercury Hotels estimates that it will have one hundred and fifty hotels franchised under the Mercury Grand brand by the end of 2009.
