Just Us Productions, LLC and Heritage Fountain, Inc. will be offering a weekend series Childbirth Education Class March 28th and March 29th from 1:00 to 3:30PM. This weekend class is the last in a series funded by a March of Dimes Community Award. What makes this class unique? It is completely unique because unlike other childbirth classes that require women to be in their 3rd trimester, these are open to all pregnant women regardless of their due date. This initiative recognizes that women in all stages of pregnancy can benefit from support, education and quality “me” time. High levels of stress increase a woman’s risk for preterm labor and birth. Babies born early and too small have increased risks for health problems during the newborn period, long-term disabilities and even death. This weekend course is open to women and their support person and provides information on managing stress, having a healthy pregnancy and preparing for your baby’s Birth Day. Using the March of Dimes curriculum “The Pregnancy Workshop” as its foundation, classes will combine mindful breathing, relaxation techniques, group discussion and videos/DVD's.
