Richard Burrow’s architectural design practice has slowed down like many businesses these days, so Richard has decided to stamp out the sluggish times. He has creative energy that needs an outlet so he has started designing castles. These castles will never be lived in…they are artistic rubber stamp designs! Richard has taken his architectural design expertise and developed rubber stamp designs for the 26 letters of the alphabet incorporating castle themes. The rubber stamps are used by crafters for scrapbooking, memory pages, custom stationery, greeting cards, gift wrap, and other art projects. People that have seen the castle designs say they are “phenomenal”
The rubber stamp castle designs are being marketed to gift stores and craft stores especially those stores with a castle or medieval theme. Richard has visited several local merchants and is planning on talking with various Southern California Amusements Parks, Medieval Times, and the Excalibur hotel in Las Vegas.
Richard’s new business venture, named CASTLE STAMPS, will not keep him from designing new custom homes and additions, but it will help allow him to be creative during these tough times. “I enjoy the fantasy part of designing castles. It is fun and a bit of an escape from reality”, says Richard. He incorporates turrets, crowns, stone, flags, ironwork, and a variety of castle elements in his designs. The stamps are being manufactured at American Art Stamp in Torrance, California. Keeping the design and manufacturing in the USA will, in a small part, help the local economy.
