Quantum Global Networks Inc is wholly owned and operated by a private investment group form the US. This purchase immediately enables QGN to become a major player in the LDI ( long distance international ) telecommunication sector in Pakistan. With this purchase QGN becomes one of 11 exclusive LDI license holders in Pakistan. Local businessman and CEO Elie Maloof spearheaded this project in hopes to diversify the group's portfolio while contending with the current economic crisis. According to Maloof " The current recession is making growth extremely difficult domestically, however globally due to emerging economies of the world there is ample room for growth". At the initial onset the focus for QGN is to capture a market share of all outbound US calls into Pakistan. As vice president, Paresh Patel states " we are in a unique position to offer highly competitive rates and quality service domestically as we are the only US based company providing services in Pakistan. He also adds " with this license there are many options that become available to QGN in growing global telecommunication sector ". QGN is already in the works to offer a global Subscriber Identity Module, better known as a SIM card that would allow cell phone use anywhere in the world at a fraction of the cost. Currently QGN is in talks with calling card platform vendors and wholesale termination clients as this is also an area they want to capitalize domestically and offer huge discounts to customers.
