Are You Seeing Spots?

We decided to sit down with ESSpa Kozmetika’s nail care specialists for some answers to common nail issues.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Mar 06, 2009 -
PITTSBURGH- Have you ever wondered what those little white spots are on your nail bed?  Well, a lot of people have been wondering that same question.  So, I decided to sit down with ESSpa Kozmetika’s nail care specialists for some answers to common nail issues.

So, what are those little white spots on your nails? It’s called Leukonychia (pronounced luke-a-nik-eia) and it is caused by injury to the nail bed.  They are little bruises that show up on your nail after you bump or pinch them between hard surfaces.  Not to worry though, they do not cause any harm and you will just have to wait for them to grow out.

Another common issue is dry, hard cuticles.  Have you looked down at your nails and wondered how your cuticles grew so far down your nail bed?  With spring coming up, now is the time to get those winterized hands soft and supple again.  Your skin and cuticles probably look dry and lifeless…don’t they?  Come in to ESSpa for a consultation so that our nail care specialists can help ease both your mind and your hands.
When your cuticle grows forward on your nail bed, it is a condition called Pterygium.  (Pronounced ter-ig-ium)  It can be treated with an ultimate manicure.  That way, your dry cuticles can be reconditioned, softened, pushed back, and then removed.

Eva Sztupka Kerschbaumer, owner and Hungarian skincare expert of ESSpa says, “There are all kinds of nail conditions out there.  ESSpa Kozmetika’s nail care specialists have seen it all and they are here to help you achieve great looking and feeling hands and feet.”

Please take into consideration if you have open sores and/or deep lacerations on your hands or feet, it is probably not a good idea to receive any kind of treatments.  ESSpa wants you to be happy and healthy and for the sake of being safe, please return to ESSpa when you are healed.  It is always a good idea to visit your family doctor and/or podiatrist if you feel it is something serious.

ESSpa Kozmetika Organic skincare and Day spa is open everyday for your convenience.  ESSpa has seven nail care specialists to serve and pamper you with the most modern manicures and pedicures.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call our reception personnel.  You can also visit www.esspa.com for more information about ESSpa.

ESSpa Kozmetika Organic Skincare & Day Spa exists within an organically restored WWI-era auto dealership located just 8 miles north of Downtown Pittsburgh in Aspinwall Borough.
