What makes Joyce Schwarz reading special at SXSW is that it may be the first time an author has turned his or her book reading into a fund raiser for a local charity. An SXSW spokesperson explains that authors have always been a big part of the SXSW Interactive Festival. For 2009, SXSW will again showcase some of the most interesting new titles related to emerging media via our new Book Readings program.

First of its kind book:

The book features interviews, tips & quotes from more than 75 wisdom leaders and noted speakers in the self-growth arena. "What started out as a personal venture in life exploration, ended up being a real life example of social media in action?” Schwarz explains.

To create THE VISION BOARD, Schwarz used social media online sites Facebook, Linked in & Meet-UP.com to get more than 500 submissions for the book from around the world.
