SAN ANTONIO – Ron Widup, executive vice president of Shermco Industries, has been appointed conference chair for the PowerTest Electrical Maintenance and Safety Conference in San Antonio, March 9 - 12.
Hosted by the InterNational Electrical Testing Association, PowerTest 2009 is a conference designed to inform and educate those involved with electrical power system testing and maintenance. This year’s conference will provide sources for new products and services, as well as feature technical presentations involving best practices for electrical maintenance and safety procedures, codes and standards.
“Our committee members have been working hard to create an exciting technical program focused on safety, reliability and equipment issues impacting the power industry,” said Widup. “Attendees will receive numerous tools and resources in PowerTest’s paper tracks, interactive panels and symposiums which can be immediately put to use in their profession.”
Widup is a past president of the International Electrical Testing Association, and currently holds a position on the NETA board of directors and Standards Review Council. He is a principal member of the National Fire Protection Association’
