Kids who share a passion and talent for musical wonder will join together at Red Bank’s Count Basie Theater to perform the next concert for Rockit For Kids.
Rockit For Kids gives young musicians an instant opportunity to play Rock & Roll with their peers, bringing them together to perform live as an accomplished band. Each week for 6 weeks, students attend a 55-minute band class with specialized instructors. The end result is well-orchestrated ensembles of young rockers who perform live concerts in front of an audience of both adults and children. This year, the group’s founder, Bruce Gallipani, is celebrating five years of live performance with two special shows coming in March.
The two live performances are scheduled to take place March 15th with an afternoon performance at 1pm and an evening show at 6pm. The two performances will feature different songs and different musicians, with some of the bands performing during both shows. Tickets are just $15 and can be purchased at the Count Basie Theatre box office located at 99 Monmouth Street in Red Bank.
Rockit For Kids helps young musicians fulfill their dreams of playing with a live band on stage in a professional environment. The audience is filled with children and adults, who have come to see the awe-inspiring performance given by these young stars. It’s here that passion and style is ignited and the dreams of our children become realty. Registration is open to guitarists, drummers, vocalists, bassists, keyboardists, and brass and string players.
Auditions for the next Rockit concert/program are on Saturday, April 4th at the Count Basie Theatre rehearsal room. Any parents of talented musicians are encouraged to enroll in the program.
