A new website has recently launched by twin brother and sister web developers and a Harvard MBA student called www.MallCrawl.com. MallCrawl is the latest in online social shopping websites, however it doesn’t actually sell anything. Rather, it serves as a “database”
We have not yet seen one website which serves as both a directory for all shopping malls and stores, and a discussion board. The idea is brilliant; rather than visiting an individual mall website which is not often updated and mainly provides mall hours and directories, shoppers can view product level information on MallCrawl, and share their finds and opinions.
What is great about the site is that it encourages “MallCrawlers”
In addition to shoppers posting their finds, store employees can utilize MallCrawl to push merchandise and promote store events. Also, be sure to check out the MallCrawl Blog, which has thoughtful posts on industry news and new designer fashions.
The timing of MallCrawl’s launch could not be better. The holidays have passed, and there is a shopping lull this time of year. We are thankful to have a new site which helps to promote the retail industry. Check out the site, and sign up today.
