The Matanuska Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) is now accepting nominations for the 2009 Administrative Professional of the Year Award. The award recognizes an administrative professional employed in the Mat-Su Valley who not only possesses a mastery of office skills, but consistently exemplifies professionalism in his or her line of work. Administrative professionals are defined by IAAP as "individuals who are responsible for administrative tasks and coordination of information in support of an office related environment and who are dedicated to furthering their personal and professional growth in their chosen profession."
A panel of three independent Mat-Su business professionals will select the 2009 Mat-Su Administrative Professional of the Year with the award being presented on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at the Greater Wasilla Chamber of Commerce luncheon. All nominees will be recognized during a presentation on Administrative Professionals Day, Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at the Greater Palmer Chamber of Commerce luncheon.
