Want to find out what’s on in Bournemouth? Perhaps one of the most interesting Bournemouth events, it will have you questioning where you come from and how you got here? Now there’s something you don’t get asked everyday!
Bournemouth National Science Society are celebrating National Science and Engineering Week 2009 at the BNSS and will be exploring the answers to some of life’s biggest, unanswered questions, such as how life on earth really started? http://www.listedmagazine.com/
In 1903 Bournemouth National Science Society was founded, with all its members being extremely passionate about science and natural history. This month they are at the heart of a fascinating and intriguing Bournemouth event celebrating life and encouraging the public to join discussions about current issues like what’s in your cosmetics or where your food is sourced from.
The weeks begin on Saturday 7th March with Dr Simon Cripps – Chief Executive of Dorset Wildlife Trust and ‘Tuna Wars’ - The Perils of Science and Conservation on the High Seas. The week continues with discussions and lectures on various other subjects such as ‘How on Earth did life start?’ and ‘The Evolutions of dogs’ with vet Michelle Shanson. She will discuss how dogs evolved from wolves into the different breeds we have today.
Finally ‘Nanoscience’
So now you won’t need to ask what’s on in Bournemouth, but maybe have many more questions about life on planet earth now instead!
