A concert benefiting the nonprofit environmental group, CONNECT THE DOTS, will be held on March 6 from 5:30pm to midnight at Root Division, 3175 17th Street at Shotwell. Local bands include Jay Trainer Band and London Street. Tickets are only $5.00!
CONNECT THE DOTS, a project of Earth Island Institute, assists non-profit groups in reducing their environmental impact to maximize their care for the communities they serve. Serving nonprofit agencies exclusively, Connect the Dots takes advantage of existing resources and incentive programs to lower the cost and effort of “going green.”
Their results-oriented GREEN START program guides nonprofits toward resources and simple actions they can take to see immediate improvements to their bottom line.
For three months, they serve as a “personal coach” to turn intentions to actions in:
1. Waste Management
2. Energy and Water Conservation
3. Environmentally-
4. Education and Outreach
5. Monitoring and Evaluation
CELEBRATE a night of music, visual art, and all things about "greening nonprofits"! Learn how the Conard House gained $19k in projected savings and other examples of nonprofits reducing their environmental impact.
“Do good without doing harm.”
