Miss India UK Worldwide back from Worldwide finals

PR Log (Press Release) – Mar 03, 2009 – The Beauty works as a Product Manager in the UK and has been modelling for 2years- she has done numerous ‘Photo shoots’ for top Magazines, Designers, and is the face of a well establish Makeup company Mizteeq.com. Poonam Mehmi has the world at her feet she will also be featuring in Imtiaz Ali’s forthcoming BollyWood blockbuster ‘Love Auj Kal’ alongside ‘Saif Ali Khan’. The warm hearted beauty has been sponsoring a child in Africa for the past 2years and has been involved with numerous charity events since the age of 9 when she organised a fund raising event with the help of teachers for people who suffer from ‘Leprosy’. Poonam had a weeklong stay in Durban where she attracted a lot of media attention- she graced the front cover of ‘The Post’ newspaper along with the other contestants, she had numerous interviews with Radio and Magazines, she had the pleasure to attend the movie premier of ‘Billu Barber and she also attended a gala African Night event!’ Poonam states ‘I had the most amazing experience in Durban and I hope to use the Miss India UK title to influence young Asian woman in a positive way’. Poonam is now working closely with the National Directors for the UK Mr Baboo Narrandes & Sylvia Harrison and her Sponsor Mr Warren Vaheeswaran from Whitecliff Group to ensure that her reign is productive, positive and successful.
